This summer, one thousand youth are participating in the U.S. Embassy’s “My Summer of Discovery” 2017 camp initiative.  These camps are inspiring Moroccan youth to reach their goals.  The U.S. Department of State has awarded a total of $123,707 (1,192,535 MAD) to 11 organizations offering a total of 19 summer camps in 17 different cities and small towns within Morocco.

The “My Summer of Discovery” 2017 camp initiative engages students in science and environment, English language, sports, arts, and leadership and critical life skills.  Throughout the summer, the young campers will express their creativity, strengthen their confidence, and develop their professional skills.  The interactive nature of the camps will foster open-mindedness of Moroccan youth.

“I am so proud the embassy is supporting the aspirations of Moroccan youth especially as we mark the anniversary of 241 years of U.S.-Moroccan relations” said Chargé d’Affaires Stephanie
