Event:  A high-profile soccer match will take place at the El Larbi Zaouli Stadium on Thursday, July 7.  The match begins at 6:00 P.M. and ends at 9:00 P.M.  Police expect fans to gather near the stadium and hotels where the teams are lodging before and after the match – Hotel Barcelo and Idou Anfa on Boulevard Anfa.  Large crowds and heavy traffic, as well as street closures, could result in significant congestion and delays in both areas between 4:00 P.M. and 10:00 P.M.  Many stores, restaurants, and cafes may be closed.  In the past some soccer fans have engaged in unruly behavior, acts of vandalism and violence.  It is recommended that people avoid the area around El Larbi Zaloui Stadium, Arab League Park tram stop, Boulevard Anfa by named hotels, and nearby roadways near all locations.
