The U.S. Embassy in Morocco is pleased to welcome an energetic American vocal group, The Exchange (link – http://www.exchangevocal.com/), to perform in Morocco from April 25-29, 2017. The high energy youth-focused American band will travel here as part of a multi-country tour and they are looking forward to meeting Moroccan fans during their stops in Casablanca, Oujda, Meknes and Rabat.
The Exchange consists of five male singers, each with his own distinct voice and style. This “a capella” group, which sings without instrumental accompaniment, fuses contrasting styles – rhythm & blues, rock, gospel, opera, and hip-hop. Above all their sound is always defined by the raw, soulful power of the human voice, which was on full display when they competed on the popular American TV show “The Sing Off”.
The Exchange creates an atmosphere where everyone in the audience feels like they are part of the show. The show is half concert, half house party as the group’s diversity appeals to audiences all across the globe. The group bridges the gap between old school and new school music making The Exchange truly memorable.
The U.S. Embassy is working with the following partners on The Exchange’s concert tour in Morocco. In each of the four stops, the band will also give workshops to young people at cultural centers that are partnering with the U.S. Embassy on this unique, youth focused musical tour. During the last stop in the Morocco tour, the band The Exchange will collaborate with the band “Adrenaline”, one of Morocco’s hottest young vocal bands.

AMA bands have traveled to more than 100 countries around the world since 2011. AMA activities focus on younger audiences who are excited to meet American performers and experience their music first-hand.
The Morocco Tour, is just one stop on The Exchange’s month-long, multi-country tour of North Africa and the Middle East where they will show off their musical talent at public concerts, interactive performances with local musicians, workshops, and jam sessions. Traveling has convinced The Exchange that the key to global progress is education, and that music can be the first spark that gets kids excited about different cultures.
