As part of its emergency response to COVID-19, the Government of Morocco has announced that all regularly scheduled commercial flights to and from Morocco are suspended until at least May 31.
At this time, the U.S. Consulate General in Casablanca is arranging a special evacuation flight for remaining U.S. citizens and, space permitting, U.S. Lawful Permanent Residents who seek to return to the United States.
FLIGHT DETAILS:
The special evacuation flight will depart Casablanca Mohammed V. International Airport (CMN) to London Heathrow Airport (LHR) on Friday, May 1 at 4:00 PM. The price per passenger is 477 UK pounds (approximately $585.00 USD). Passengers will be responsible for booking their own onward travel arrangements from London, including hotels and onward flights to the United States or another destination.
Passengers wishing to return to the United States will likely need to book a hotel in London on Friday, May 1 and a flight to the United States on Saturday, May 2. The price of any hotel and onward flight(s) is not included in the cost of this flight.
Baggage allowance is one bag per person (up to 20kg), plus a carry-on. No extra baggage is permitted.
The U.S. Consulate General will provide travel permission letters to all confirmed passengers of the flight for over-land travel to Casablanca Mohammed V. International Airport.
ELIGIBILITY:
The flight will be available ONLY to U.S. citizens and to Lawful Permanent Residents (LPRs) on a space available basis. LPRs must have a valid Green Card. No others – including F1 student visa holders, B1/B2 visa holders, nor any other non-U.S. citizens or Lawful Permanent residents – will be permitted to board this special evacuation flight.
Seats will be filled on a first come first serve basis, with a priority given to American citizens. There are a limited number of seats.
